Hello all, I Decided to give my input on my favorite class. So welcome to fighter 101.
Why Play Fighter?
Fighter in my opinion is the most versatile melee class in the game. They have very high burst damage due to Chase Advance/PP Slayer, backhand smash, deadly archer and symphonic drive. They also have more invincibility frames than any other class due to weapon gear and certain pa's.
Builds

This build focuses on doing the most dps possible at all times. extremely good burst in AOE mobbing and boss fights. This is the build that i currently use. DO NOT TAKE AUTO MATE IF YOU USE THIS BUILD!!!!! You need to have step attack on the hunter tree as well as full the full fury side of the hunter tree for this build to truly shine. Since you don't have automate with this build, Knuckle and dagger dodge is mandatory. Practice makes perfect

This build is more based around AOE mobbing more than anything. Extremely high damage output with chase proc's. not recomended for boss fights.

Very Good Boss killer, Higher HP, Automate compatible.
Weapons
Daggers- My preference for AOE and certain Single target boss fights.
Knuckles- Highest single target burst melee weapon period.
Double Sabers-Double Sabers have their uses but for the most part i rely on Knuckles and Daggers to do most of the work. Extremely situational weapon. I only use Double Sabers on maybe 3 bosses.
PA'S
Twin Daggers- Symphonic Drive for single target burst. Bloody Sarabande for AOE.
Knuckles- Backhand smash, Backhand smash, Backhand smash. Get the point yet? All kidding aside, Straight charge can be used to triple dash and Quake Howling can be used to proc chase advance for those that are too lazy to affix a status affect on every single weapon that they have.
Double Sabers- Double Sabers have their uses but for the most part i rely on Knuckles and Daggers to do most of the work. Extremely situational weapon. I only use Double Sabers on maybe 3 bosses. Pa's- 1 Choice really for DPS. Deadly Archer. Illusion rave is used for breaking funji's that's about it.
BEST IN SLOT - TOO MUCH SWAG
Knuckles- Shishigami / Godhand -Shishigami takes top slot cause a 12% damage boost to Backhand smash is Stupid strong
Twin Daggers- Two Kamui / Hihikane - Two Kamui Takes top slot cause BlackHeart is fucking OP
Double Sabers- Xerc-Langritter-Flame Iccarus - Xerc is top of the class cause who doesnt want more deadly archer spam. Langritter and Flame Iccarus are close with Langritter pulling slightly ahead because of slightly higher s-atk at +10 (Same Latent- Immediate Strike)
Rear Unit- Bulb Ireen / リア/ブルブイレイン
Arm Unit- Uranus Tetra / アーム/ウラノスヘクサ
Leg Unit- Uranus Hexa / レッグ/ウラノステトラ
The arm and leg units are a 2 piece set that give 40 to all stats and 10 pp. The rear unit is a 1 piece set bonus that gives 100 HP.
TIPS AND TRICKS
Knuckle Dodge- With Knuckle Gear You have a .5 second invincibility frame. THIS IS ESSENTIAL. LEARN IT, LOVE IT, LIVE IT. This will be what keeps you alive if you don't have automate. As i said before Practice makes perfect. Also when alternating between knuckle gear and attacks/PA's Dramatically Speeds up your DPS because you attack faster.
Twin Dagger Dodge- Same premise as knuckle dodge with slightly more/less use depending upon the situation. When using symphonic drive this will be what keeps you in the air when you are out of PP. Dagger gear is good to alternate between auto attacks, When done correctly you will never hit the ground, Because you are a fucking ninja
Knuckle Dash- Extra invincibility frames when dashing with knuckles. Invaluable in certain boss fight such as Ragne/Agrani and Falz-Hunar.
Knuckle Hover- ESSENTIAL TO LEARN. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. This Skill Will Help Immensely with Falz Arms, Chrome Dragon /Haze Draal, and basically any boss that you plan to use knuckles on. Start by jumping then attacking and alternating between knuckle gear and attacks/PA's. Mastering this will allow you attack faster and stay in the air basically infinitely.
Damage Gauging- A nifty little trick to help you gauge how much health a boss has left. Less useful in MPA'S but useful none the less. I count my backhand smashes to gauge how much health a boss has left. if i average 80k a backhand and a boss has about 500k HP in Super Hard, then it would be dead in around 6 to 7 backhands. Like i said, not essential but useful none the less.
On a side note..... Because of the versatility of fighters and the nature of the class, weapons are extremely situational. This is what works for me and my play style, that being said.... everyone has their own play style and what works for me might not work for you.
